The latest EPAS innovation from DCE is our lightweight system.  The torque sensor has been removed from the custom made gearbox assembly, making the distance between input and output splines short to aid installation.

With the torque sensor removed the unit is smaller, plus:

• The unit can be installed with either shaft used for input or output – again making installation easiser
• No torsion bar is fitted internally making a direct connection between input and output splines.  This gives the driver a much better feel for the track conditions.

Torque sensing is done by using either our clamp around or steering boss sensors, coupled to our EPAS Ultra ECU.
