This unit is designed to allow ignition coils to be checked prior to installation or to aid in fault finding the ignition system on the vehicle.

The output of the unit is fixed at 5Hz with adjustable dwell timing (internal adjustment) between 1 and 10ms to suit most applications.

Connection is by AS612-98SU and the pin configuration is designed to be plug and play for NASCAR Sprint Cup specification ignition harnesses.

Simply connect the test unit to the vehicle’s power supply, connect the output to the ignition harness and lay your grounded sparkplugs on the head. As you push the test button the output LED will flash in time with the spark plug. Turn the selector switch for whichever cylinder you wish to test.
